Virtual Trainings Offered During National Child Passenger Safety Week

The Huntington Highway Safety Program is teaming up with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and Toyota to offer a brand new way to educate parents and caregivers about correct installations of car seats. The “Buckle Up for Life” Program is designed to educate parents and caregivers, but also provide resources for families in need.

One of the benefits from the program is the “Online Safety Station” that parents and caregivers can logon to and receive information, trainings, and other resources. During National Child Passenger Safety Week, the Huntington Highway Safety Program will be hosting FIVE Training Sessions for parents and caregivers that may need assistance with car seat installations. Our local and nationally trained certified technicians will be on hand to help answer questions raised by anyone in need.

The “Online Safety Station” is FREE and available to anyone who registers using the following website and registration code:

Registration Code: WGHDSPAB

Parents are reminded that children are more often injured or killed in short trips close to home than on the open highway.  That demonstrates the fact that all children should be properly restrained on every trip, especially now that schools are back in session and children will spend more time in vehicles.   Everyone is reminded that children 13 and under should always ride in the back seat when possible.

Child Passenger Safety training events will be held on the following dates and times. Due to COVID19 issues, all trainings will be held virtually (live) through the above website portal.
