WSAZ

WSAZ was one of the first television stations in the nation to go on air on November 15, 1949. The station was located then in the West Virginia Building until 1953 when it and WSAZ Radio moved to 201 Ninth Street.

The radio station was sold in 1970; and in 1973 WSAZ moved to 645 Fifth Avenue due to the old studio being marked for demolition for the new urban renewal project.
