The Technical Housing Division is assigned to the Huntington Fire Department/Office of Fire Prevention. The fundamental responsibility of this division is to enforce city ordinances and mitigate public nuisances as they relate to housing/property maintenance, unsafe buildings, vegetation/combustibles , trash, garbage, and other nuisance complaints as may be enforceable pursuant to specific codified ordinances of the City of Huntington.

Through public education and diligently utilizing all available public and private resources to promulgate said ordinances, the quality of life for the citizens of the city will be greatly enhanced, whereby becoming a much better place to live.
